On an emergency episode of The Hot Mic with Jeff and John, presented by Above the Line, hosts Jeff Sneider and John Rocha take to their mics two days early to discuss Bob Iger‘s return to Disney, which was certainly more surprising than Bob Chapek‘s exit, given that Jeff previously predicted that the prickly Chapek wouldn’t survive the year as CEO of the Mouse House.
Jeff and John also sink their teeth into the news that Yann Demange (Lovecraft Country) will direct the Blade movie for Marvel, having been hand-picked by star Mahershala Ali, though the guys are uncertain if the same supporting cast will remain in place.
The guys also talk about Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and whether we’ll ever see Rian Johnson‘s planned Star Wars trilogy, plus a new report that Henry Cavill doesn’t actually have a deal to return as Superman, and the first photos from Indiana Jones 5. And just before the end of the show, John reveals what he’s grateful for this year, while Jeff reveals the rumored director of Sing 3.
